Dylan Neuwirth ‘The Celebration’
I first saw Dylan Neuwirth’s art work at a fashion event downtown Seattle. I was so intrigued by his work I kept in contact. After a quick chat I went to check out his new body of work ‘The Celebration’, at his studio in Ballard. What I found was a gallery of large scale neon work, one small scale photographic print, and small to mid-size sculptures. Visually was exciting to the eyes but what was most interesting was the meaning behind all of his art work. He described he art as “What happens after the event or big the social gathering” and “the identity through the expectation, experience and nostalgia”. Being a person who goes to quite a few social gathering everything became clear! I’ve seen this before before but never captured in this way. The this is creative! This is electric! This is art!
If you are a person who checks out galleries or even a person who goes to events you can relate to Dylan’s art work. You can view more of his work on his tumblr page. Private viewing upon request. Regular studio open hours to begin in May and the year’s calendar will be announced soon. Follow him on twitter.
