Haus Holiday Grand Opening

The Haus Holiday Grand Opening event was a mash with patrons and media as the store buzzed with energy. Big thanks goes out to Melinda Allanson of MP Communication for the special invite to VNT.

The evening started out with an introduction from the owners detailing the launch and the many styles one can find at Haus. Afterwards the models were let lose to turn the entire store into a catwalk. The store front became the final landing for all models. This was great touch to have live models pose in the store front window. This tactic definitely brought the crowds in. Refreshments and horderves were enjoyed by everyone, media included.

Over all it was a good night and we look forward to the next event at Haus. Here are a few pictures of the evening.

Vancouver Fashion Week 2011 Pictures

This year Vancouver Fashion Week celebrated its tenth year by holding it’s fashion show in Masik Studios. Masik’s paint splattered walls gave you a sense of creativity and expression. With 55 presenting designers on the list it was hard to keep track of who was who. Names like Eva Chen, Joseph Ribkoff, Claire O’Connor, and Claire O’Connor were some to grace the runway. In case you missed it here are a few pictures of the evenings I attended. Click Vancouver Fashion Week to find out more info.

FORME: “Exploring Fashion’s Borders ” is coming!

Visualnoisetype, Lotus eye fashion (Indian clothing line) and South Asian Arts (a non-profit arts company) are producing an event called:

FORME: “Exploring Fashion’s Borders”

FORME is a show to educate, expose mainstream fashion, arts, media communities, and other audiences, to what haute couture, textiles, artisanship and design mean around the world. By showcasing edgy international designers and artists in an atmosphere of clothing, music, DJ’s, and visual arts/film/photography. We hope to accomplish this in some small way and highlight the very profound reach of global arts.

This year- FORME will celebrate the fashion of India through Lotus Eye, with a fashion show. Accompanied by live music and a short film, cocktails and networking. This event will be a first of its kind. We are holding the event on November 10th in the Ayden Art Gallery in Tinseltown.
