What can I say about the Vancouver Fashion Week? I could say it was it was an onslaught of Fashion or maybe it was six days for straight fashion overload!
The opening gala was hosted at the fabulous Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. This waterfront hotel set a good tone to this six-day event. When we first arrived at gala the room was buzzing with energy of the nights to come. Radio personality Kid Carson (the Beat 94.5) was there to announce coming designers to stage for photos and press.
The following fashion shows was hosted at the Empire Landmark hotel located downtown on Robson Street. On the bottom floor of the hotel viewers were treated to six night of fantastic fashion and culture. These fashion shows featured fashion designers from all over the world including the UK, Norway, Mongolia, Japan and Trinidad as to name a few. One things I though was special was designers walked with cancer survivors to create cancer awareness.
Some designers we’d like to highlight are, Michel Tudour from Trinidad. She displayed a colorful assortment of garments, which brighten, up the runway. “Eco-Friendly” Nate Organics wowed us with their playful side using energetic break-dancers to model the line. “New Generation” Queen of Jeans presented her new tops mix in with her classic fitting jean line.
