On June 28th 2010 it was my two year marriage anniversary and my husband took me to the Cork & Fin restaurant in Vancouver, BC located at 221 Carrall Street. As soon as you walk in you noticed the decor had a simple elegance that added to the chill grown and sexy vibe of the restaurant. They had a raw fish bar with single seating as well as tables set-up for a romantic dinner for two enjoy or long tables for a meet-up with friends.

The menu selection had a perfect amount of items to choose from featuring a Prix Fixe Menu including oysters, market salad, squid calamari, albacore sashimi, fresh water trout and veal for $30 per person. Other items on the menu included Seafood towers, Cold selection of seafood and a Hot selection of a variety of food. We had the Albacore Sashimi and Mussels as starters and they were both amazing. The bread that came as a starter was to die for. We enjoyed some red wine and cocktails prior to starting our main course. For dinner I had the Surf and Turf and my husband had the Pan Roasted Game Hen and we both enjoyed or meals equally. We ordered a Dungeness Crab Mashed Potatoes addition to our meal and it was very tasty. The portions were perfect and we walked out of the restaurant fully satisfied with our dinner experience.

Overall we loved the ambiance, the food, the service (Andrew was an amazing waiter) and our overall bill was very reasonable a restaurant in Gas-town. We give this restaurant a 4.5 star rating and highly recommend that you stop in for either a quick bite at the raw fish bar or enjoy a meet-up with your friends and enjoy some great drinks and good eats especially for the seafood lovers.
